About Julia
A native of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Julia found her confidence on the stage of the North Little Rock High School’s award-winning theater department. After receiving her Journalism degree from the University of Arkansas, her path as a performer veered from stage to screen when she became a reporter and news anchor for the NBC affiliate in Joplin, Missouri; then back home in Little Rock as morning news anchor for the ABC affiliate, KATV Channel 7.
“I love telling stories and sharing information. I love to hear about people and what makes them unique.”
This passion for sharing peoples’ stories led her to the non-profit PR world. There she had the opportunity to serve people with disabilities and their families. She loved promoting the mission of the organization by sharing the stories of those who had benefitted from it. It was in this position that Julia truly began to understand the importance of audiobooks, and how so many people depend on them for education and entertainment.
A mother of three, wife to a restaurant owner, and dog-mom to a standard poodle, Julia spends her free time on the tennis court.
